Please be advised that on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, a chiller unit will be moved onto the roof of the veterinary hospital. The operation will require the setup of a crane in the central library parking lot, which will be unavailable for use throughout the day.

Pedestrian access to the central library will remain open; however, the entrance walkway will be temporarily closed during certain phases of the crane's operation, making it impossible to enter or leave the library at those times.

Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery

If the book or article you need is not available at the Agrovet Library, we can request it from another library.

 

WHAT YOU CAN REQUEST

Internal users may request:

  • Articles or book chapters that are not available in the University of Turin libraries (Document Delivery).
  • Books that are not held by the Agrovet Library or by any other University of Turin library (Interlibrary Loan).

Requests must be submitted to the Agrovet Library using the NILDE platform.

 

COSTS

The service is free of charge. However, the supplying library may apply a fee for providing the requested material.

For Interlibrary Loan, each user may submit up to 5 requests per year free of charge, excluding any fees charged by the supplying library.

 

LOANS FROM OTHER UNIVERSITY OF TURIN LIBRARIES

Academic staff may request books held by other University of Turin libraries participating in the service. The loan period is determined by the lending library.

 

RETURNING MATERIALS

Items received through Interlibrary Loan must be returned by the due date and in the same condition in which they were received. In the event of late return, loss, or damage, the regulations of the Agrovet Library and, where applicable, those of the supplying library will apply.

 

SERVICES FOR OTHER LIBRARIES

The Agrovet Library also provides books and copies of articles to other libraries on a reciprocal basis and participates in NILDE (Network Inter-Library Document Exchange) for the exchange of journal articles.

The supply of copies of documents is carried out in compliance with current copyright legislation and the licence agreements with publishers.
