Please be advised that on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, a chiller unit will be moved onto the roof of the veterinary hospital. The operation will require the setup of a crane in the central library parking lot, which will be unavailable for use throughout the day.

Pedestrian access to the central library will remain open; however, the entrance walkway will be temporarily closed during certain phases of the crane's operation, making it impossible to enter or leave the library at those times.

Access

Access to the AGROVET Central Library is by reservation through the Affluences service, which allows you to check the availability of places in real time.

Please note: no reservation is required at the “Biblioteca Diffusa”

Afffluences is an app downloadable from the App Store and Google Play that you can use without registration. If you don't want to use the app, you can use the web version.

How does it work:

  1.     type AGROVET Library in the search bar
  2.  choose the room you wish to book
  3.  Book the desired day and time by entering your institutional email address, or another address if you are an external user, and wait for the confirmation email
  4.  Confirm the appointment via the email received within 2 hours. (This action is only necessary for the first access: by clicking "Remember me", the system will automatically recognize you for new bookings).
  5.  when you arrive at the library, validate your reservation using the QR-code at the reception

If you give up the reservation, you can cancel it from the email received by clicking on "cancel reservation" before the start of the chosen time slot, thus leaving the possibility for other users to use your seat.

The reservation is individual and you must present it at the entrance of the structure.

 

USER CATEGORIES:

The following are considered internal users:

  • Regularly enrolled students, Erasmus students, PhD candidates (including those enrolled through consortium-based programs), medical residents, master's students, scholarship holders, research fellows, holders of research contracts and appointments, and participants in advanced training courses;
  • Academic staff of the University of Turin, including anyone who carries out teaching or research activities at the University, even on a temporary basis;
  • Technical and administrative staff of the University of Turin.

The following are considered external users:

  • Students, academic staff, and technical and administrative staff affiliated with scientific and cultural institutions with which the University of Turin (or the Agrovet Library) has entered into specific agreements and/or memoranda of understanding;
  • Anyone who, for study or research purposes, is interested in the services provided by the Agrovet Library.
