Library and "Biblioteca Diffusa"

The Library has a total surface area of 1218 m2, of which 756 on the ground floor, including offices and reading rooms.
The remaining surface area is allocated to the basement in a space intended for book storage and equipped with compact shelving.
The Library, open to teachers, researchers, students and scholars of the subject, has a reading room and two newspaper libraries, capable of hosting 100 users.
In the reading room the books have been placed on open shelves and ordered by subject according to a classification scheme borrowed from the Library of the University of Utrecht.

The book deposits present on the Campus, pertaining to the various research sectors, belong to the Library, for which the Library centrally manages both bibliographic purchases and cataloguing. The bibliographic material is available for consultation.

Since November 2020, the “biblioteca Diffusa" (900 m2)  has been active, an ambitious project, unique in the University, which provides students with a space dedicated to individual and group study. Examples at the international level demonstrate the importance of the circulation of ideas through the sharing of flexible spaces that promote learning. It is located on Campus, in a former student meeting center, near the canteen. It is open from Monday to Friday from 8.30 a.m. to 19.00 p.m. An area in the "Biblioteca Diffusa" is reserved for the organization of events such as exhibitions, book presentations, seminars and cultural activities: this outreach to the local community, known as the 'Third Mission', constitutes a primary function of the academic library institution.
