Loan

Library loans are granted to: students, professors, researchers, PhD candidates, grant holders, fellows, technical administrative staff, experts in the subject and external users.

General reference works, publications prior to 1830 as well as rare and valuable books are excluded from the loan.

UNITO USER LOAN

How to borrow volumes:

  1.     Search the volume of your interest in the UNITO Catalog to see if it is available in the library.
  2.    Enter a loan request (if the volume is available) or a reservation (if the volume is currently on loan)
  3.    Wait for the e-mail confirming the availability of the volume with the instructions for collection, which can take place without having to reserve a seat in the room.

Please note: to borrow books on Saturday mornings, you must book via Affluences according to the methods indicated here

RETURNS

Borrowed volumes can be returned to the library during opening hours or by using the 24/7 return boxes located at the entrances of the Central Library and the Biblioteca Diffusa.
 
RENEW

Renewal (or extension) is only possible on or before the due date and in the absence of a reservation by another user. If you have the SCU credentials, extend it independently through the "Personal Space" of the United Catalog, otherwise call 011-6705500 or e-mail biblioteca.agrovet@unito.it

LOAN WITH PROXY

You may delegate the collection of materials by providing a written proxy, attaching a copy of your identity document.

 
OBLIGATIONS AND SANCTIONS

Loans are personal and non-transferable. You are responsible for the integrity of the work and its return within the deadline. Remember to always check the integrity and state of conservation of the volume at the time of checkout and report any problems to the staff.

If you damage the book or return it late, you may be suspended from the service in proportion to the delay period and, in the most serious cases, be subject to legal action.

If you lose a book on loan, you must replace it or, if it is no longer on the market, buy material of equal value according to the instructions of the Library. You will be suspended from yhe service until the replacement is provided..
